Verde Canyon Railroad

The Verde Canyon Railroad runs from its depot in Clarkdale to Perkinsville and back, a journey the railroad describes as about four hours. The route follows the Verde River through a canyon with no road access.
It's a relaxed half day that works for all ages, and a good choice on a hot or rainy day.
